Sun TV Q3 profit declines 2.15% to Rs 185.79 crore

Sun TV today reported 2.15 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 185.79 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2013.

The company had reported a net profit of Rs 189.88 crore for the October-December period last year.

Income from operations of the Kalanidhi Maran-owned Sun TV Network in the quarter under review increased to Rs 508.34 crore from Rs 485.86 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, the company said in a filing to the BSE.

In a separate filing, Sun TV said its board has declared an interim dividend of Rs 2.50 per share (50 per cent).
 

This is in addition to the interim dividend of Rs 2.25 per share (45 per cent) and Rs 2.50 per share (50 per cent) declared by it last year.

Shares of Sun TV closed marginally down at Rs 362.55 on the BSE.
