Sundaram BNP Paribas Fund Services Ltd, a joint venture between Sundaram Finance and BNP Paribas Securities Services, has launched a new service enabling customers to file KYC norms online.
The new platform provides convenience to investors to submit their KYC information and supporting documents online. Investors can also opt for In-Person Verification through Skype, the city-based company said in a statement.
"Investors will have the option to complete the In-Person Verification formalities by walking into any branches or through their advisors (in case of mutual fund investments) who in turn can submit the confirmation online", it said.
The facility is currently available in 70 branches and would be later extended to other branches.
KYC compliance is pre-requisite for investments in mutual funds. This process includes an In-Person Verification and verification of address, among other requirements.
