Air conditioning firm Blue Star today elevated Vice Chairman Suneel Advani as Chairman with effect from December 1, 2016.
Suneel will take over from Ashok Advani, who will relinquish his position as Chairman with effect from November 30.
"As part of the retirement policy of the Board of Directors of Blue Star, Ashok Advani, who will turn 75 on November 17, 2016, will retire from the Board after 47 years of service, and relinquish his position as Chairman of the Board with effect from November 30, 2016," the company said in a statement issued today.
Ashok Advani will be re-designated as Chairman Emeritus, it added.
