Sunita Jain's "Kshama" selected for Vyas Samman

Well-known Hindi scholar and writer Sunita Jain's poetry collection "Kshama" has been selected for the prestigious Vyas Samman 2015.

Instituted by the K K Birla Foundation, the award carries an amount of Rs 2.50 lakh and is given to outstanding literary work in Hindi authored by an Indian citizen.

"Kshama poetry collection by Sunita Jain, a well-known Hindi scholar and writer, has been selected for the 25th Vyas Samman 2015. This book was published in 2008.

"The selection has been made by the Chayan Samiti presided over by eminent litterateur Vishwanath Prasad Tiwari," the Foundation said in a statement.

The Foundation has also instituted other awards like the Saraswati Samman, given every year for an outstanding literary work written in any of the Indian languages.
