A bright sunny day brought respite to people in Delhi today from the biting cold with the maximum temperature settling at 19 degrees Celsius, close to the normal mark for this part of the season.
The weatherman has, however, predicted dense fog for tomorrow morning.
According to the MeT department, the maximum temperature recorded was just one notch below normal and substantially up from yesterday's 14.7 degrees Celsius.

However, Delhiites had woken up to a cold morning as minimum temperature was at 5.8 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal and fog continued to disrupt train operations.
Yesterday, it was recorded at 11 degree Celsius, which was three points above normal.
"Shallow fog was observed in the national capital in the early hours and visibility was recorded at 400 meters at 8:30 AM," a MeT official said.
Humidity levels oscillated between 53 and 100 per cent.
According to a Northern Railway official, 61 trains were delayed and five trains were cancelled due to inclement weather.
However, flight operations remained smooth, airport authorities said.
Weatherman has predicted a mainly clear sky throughout the day tomorrow but moderate to dense fog will be there in the morning.
"There will be mainly clear sky and maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to settle around 19 and 6 degree Celsius," the official added.
