Sunny day in Delhi, mercury rises to 27 deg C

Overcast skies gave way to a sunny day in the national capital today where light scattered rains were reported during the early morning hours.

The maximum temperature settled at 27 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 18.4 degrees Celsius, four notches above the normal, said a Met department official.

"Traces of rainfall, which is so less that it could not be measured, was recorded during early morning hours," a MeT department official said.

The humidity oscillated between 71 and 44 per cent.

The Met office has predicted overcast conditions with the likelihood of rain, thunderstorm and dust storm for tomorrow.
 

"The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover at 27 and 16 degrees Celsius, respectively," the weatherman said.

Yesterday, the minimum and maximum temperatures were recorded as 12 and 30.7 degrees Celsius, respectively.
