After four days of rains in various parts of Bihar including Patna, it was a sunny day today coupled with high level of temperature and humidity in the state capital, bringing much needed respite for Eid festivity.
However, it would be partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder in next 24 hours in Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea, the MeT department said.
Light to moderate rainfall occurred at a few places over eastern and south west parts of Bihar in the past 24 hours, it said adding that light rain occurred at one or two places over rest parts of the state.

Patna recorded the maximum temperature of 33.6 degrees Celsius while Gaya and Bhagalpur registered 33.9 and 32.4 degrees Celsius respectively.
Purnea was the hottest place among major cities in the state with 34.7 degrees Celsius, Met office said.
Patna recorded maximum humidity of 85 per cent in the morning while it was 77 per cent in the evening and Gaya recorded 87 and 81 per cent of humidity in the morning and evening respectively.
While Bhagalpur recorded 91 per cent of humidity in the morning, it was 81 per cent in evening.
Purnea recorded maximum humidity of 85 per cent both in the morning and evening.
Patna recorded 13.3 rainfall in past 24 hours till 8:30 am (i.E. From yesterday's 8:30 am to today's 8:30 am) while it rained 3.6 mm in Gaya, MeT office said, adding that Purnea recorded 0.2 mm rainfall.
Bhagalpur registered highest rainfall of 51.0 mm among major cities of the state in past 24 hours, MeT office said.
