The awards will be formally given to the recipients at a function to be held in Mumbai, said District Director Incharge of Rotary District Club 3140 Kalpana Munshi in a release.
Other persons who will also be feted come from various areas of life and they have been chosen for practising ethical standards in their respective fields.
She said there are 11 social projects being undertaken by the Rotary, which will culminate on December 23.
The Club will be hosting a nine-day Thane Global Festival on the lines of Dubai festival from November 3 onwards, Rotary governor Dr Bal Inamdar said.
The Club has undertaken an initiative to pay debt to the tune of Rs 30 lakh to distressed farmers in Vidarbha, Munshi said, adding that a sum of Rs 11 lakh has already been utilised for the purpose.
