Union Minister and BJP MP from Gurgaon, Rao Inderjit Singh today said party activists and his supporters were disappointed and annoyed after his daughter Aarti Rao was denied ticket from Rewari for the October 15 Assembly polls in Haryana.
Rao, while addressing a press conference here, said he would soon convene a meeting of his party supporters in which he would make his "best efforts" to mollify them.
"After which, the Union Minister said, he would decide to support the party nominee Randhir Singh Kapriwas in Rewari.
To a question, he said his supporters were feeling disappointed as Aarti Rao had not been given ticket.
Asked about the possibility of BJP forming a government in Haryana and who would be the Chief Minister, he said the BJP would form the government in Haryana this time, and on the question of who would be the chief minister, it would be decided after the polls.
Rao Inderjit had earlier this year snapped his four-decade old ties with the Congress and joined the BJP.
He was made the party candidate from Gurgaon, the seat which he retained. Subsequently, he was also made Minister in the Narendra Modi government.
Ahead of the next month's polls, the BJP, which hopes to wrest power from the ruling Congress, has faced a series of protests at several places over distribution of tickets.
There have been protests in Karnal, Kurukshetra, Rohtak, Mahendergarh, Hisar, Kaithal, Gurgaon, Faridabad and other places.
