Surana Telecom buys out Arhyama Energy

Telecom and solar energy major Surana Telecom and Power Ltd today acquired a majority stake of 51 per cent in Arhyama Energy Private Ltd, a renewable energy company in Telangana's Nalgonda district.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

The company, in a statement, said it has proposed to set up a 10-mw solar power plant at Kolanupaka village in Nalgonda district.

The total investment outlay is estimated to be Rs 82.80 crore.

The proposed project is expected to be commissioned by December this year.

Surana Telecom and Power Ltd said it is already successfully running 5-mw solar power project situated at Gujarat Solar Park, Gujarat, and 5-mw solar power plant in Telangana.
 

Furthermore, a 10-mw solar power project is under construction/implementation through another subsidiary in Karnataka.

"This takes the total installed and under-execution capacity in the company and through subsidiaries to 30 mw," the statement added.
