Surya aims Rs 500-crore sales from fan segment in 4 years

Lighting firm Surya Roshni is aiming to capture 10 per cent share of the fan market to increase its sales revenue from the segment to Rs 500 crore in the next four years.

The company, which forayed into the fan segment during the fiscal year is betting on its energy efficient 5-star range of fans, Surya Roshni said in a statement.

"We are aiming to achieve a turnover of Rs 500 crore in a span of three to four years," said B Raju Managing Director of Surya Roshni.

The Indian fan market is estimated to be around Rs 4,000 crore, currently, and is estimated to be around Rs 5,000 crore in next four years, it added.
 

At present, the company, has sales of Rs 100 crore and is expected to be around Rs 200 crore in the next fiscal as it gradually expand its sales channels, a company official said.

The company has lined up a range of ceiling, portable, wall mounting basic and decorative designer domestic and industrial exhaust fans this season, it added.

Surya Roshni is a part of Rs 4,000-crore Surya Group.

Apart from electrical appliances -- fans, LED and conventional lighting -- it also manufactures pipes. It has a network of around two lakh retailers in India.
