Director Hari will be teaming up with superstar Surya for the third instalment of their hit action series "Singam", making it the first Tamil franchise to continue the same story beyond two parts.
"This is the first time that the third part of a film with the same storyline takes shape," Hari said in a statement.
He said though successful horror flicks, directed by Ragava Lawrence, like "Muni" and "Kanchana" had sequels, they were released with different scripts.

"Singam", also made in Hindi with the title "Singham", starring Ajay Devgn, and its sequel are fast-paced action films, with Surya donning the role of an upright police officer successfully taking on crimelords.
Anirudh Ravichandran will score the music for the third installment of the franchise, Hari said, adding that shooting would commence in September with him planning to film in locations in Goa and Paris.
Hari is known for action films, including the blockbuster 'Saamy', starring Vikram.
This will mark the director's fifth venture with Surya, after "Aaru", "Vel", and "Singam" Part I and II.
