Srivatsan Suryakumar and Aakash Ahlawat registered close wins to enter the second qualifying round at the USD 3000 RBLATT Asian ranking men's tennis championships here Monday.
Srivatsan edged out Rushabh Gundecha 5-7, 6-2, 11-9, while Ahlawat got past Manvir Singh Randhawa 6-4, 1-6, 10-7 in the opening qualifying rounds.
The second and final rounds will be played Tuesday followed by the main draw matches from Wednesday.
The tournament is organised by Practennis in association with MSLTA under the Auspices of the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) and All India Tennis Association (AITA) at the Maharashtra State Lawn tennis Association's courts.
