Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi today congratulated veteran BJP leader Lalji Tandon on his appointment as the state's new governor.
In a statement issued here, Sushil Modi recalled his "long and close" association with Tandon, whom he called "an active social and political worker from Uttar Pradesh who has close ties with Bihar.
The deputy chief minister also welcomed the incumbent Satyapal Mallik's selection for the gubernatorial assignment in "an important state like Jammu and Kashmir" and recalled his "administrative capabilities, acquired over a long political career, which were on display during his stint as the governor of Bihar".
He also congratulated veteran BJP leader from Bihar Satya Narayan Arya, who has been appointed as the Governor of Haryana, and expressed delight that Ganga Prasad - Meghalaya Governor who hails from Bihar - will now be occupying Raj Bhavan in Sikkim.
