Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi today left for Kerala where he will take part in a "Padyatra" and a public meeting organized by the BJP in protest against "violence unleashed by the ruling Left Front" in the southern state.

"The Leftists have unleashed violence on innocent BJP workers in Kerala. More than 100 BJP workers have lost their lives in such violent attacks," a release said here.

"A nine-km-long Padyatra has been organized tomorrow in protest which will commence at Ettumanoor and conclude at Kottayam. The Deputy CM will reach Ettumanoor via Kochi and after taking part in the Padyatra he will attend a public meeting that has been organized at Kottayam. He will return to Patna on October 13," the release added.
