Following the arrest of an alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba operative, Abdul Naeem Sheikh, the Uttar Pradesh Police Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) picked up a suspected accomplice from the Dhakwa Pure Birbal village, about 35 km from here, police said today.
The ATS team which arrived in the village late yesterday night asked for a 20-year-old youth and took him to Lucknow for questioning, an official said.
SP Shagun Gautam confirmed that the youth had been taken for questioning.

According to the family members of the youth, he was a student in Deoband and had come home on November 26 for taking part in a function.
Earlier, security agencies arrested an alleged Lashker-e- Taiba operative and claimed that he was carrying out reconnaissance of vital installations such as Army camps and power projects.
They claimed that the accused, identified as Abdul Naeem Sheikh, a resident of Aurangabad in Maharashtra, was arrested from Varanasi recently after being tailed by security agencies for a few months.
The case was handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for further probe, the officials said.
