A court here today dismissed the bail petition of suspected extremist Hyder Ali in a case related to a murder attempt on a Hindu outfit leader in 1989.
Principal Sub-Judge T Chandrasekaran rejected Ali's plea after the prosecution argued that the accused might jump bail again as he had done earlier.
Ali was granted bail in the case 21 years ago, but had jumped the bail. He was allegedly involved in the RSS office blast in Chennai in 1993 which had left 11 persons dead.
