Suspected ISI agent sent to 14 days' judicial custody

The suspected agent of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) arrested in Meerut has been sent to 14 days' judicial custody.

The special duty magistrate of Meerut today sent Asif Ali to 14 days' judicial custody, a police spokesperson said.

Acting on a tip-off, the Special Task Force of the Uttar Pradesh Police arrested Ali from Subash Bazar area yesterday while he was passing information relating to the Indian Army to ISI.

A number of important documents were recovered from him and during interrogation Ali had confessed that he was an ISI agent, police have claimed.
