Suspected Maoist held with arms and explosives

A suspected Maoist has been arrested with arms and explosives from a village under Khaira police station area in Bihar's naxal-infested Jamui district, a police officer said today.

Acting on a tip-off, the CRPF jawans raided Jhikti village late last night and arrested a suspected Maoist, identified as Guddu Yadav, from his house, Khaira Station House officer(SHO), Ram Narayan Rai said.

A country-made rifle, five live cartridges and ten detonators have been seized from the ultra, he said.

Yadav was being interrogated by police and CRPF officials regarding his role in naxal violence in the district, the police officer said.
