"An ASI has been kidnapped. We suspect that the kidnappers may be Maoists," Director General of Police (DGP) Manmohan Praharaj told PTI.
Krupa Majhi, ASI of Dharmabandha police outpost, was escorting a water tanker to a CRPF camp at Goudha when his vehicle was waylaid and he was taken away by armed men.
The DGP said the local police was ascertaining the whereabouts of the ASI.
