Security forces have apprehended a suspected Maoist cadre and seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition after an operation in Jamui district of Bihar.
Officials said a joint operation was conducted by the CRPF, state police and SSB late last night and the Maoist cadre, identified as Manojda alias Umesh, was apprehended from Manikthan village in the district.
An AK56 rifle, five magazines, 108 bullets, a pistol, two grenades and three detonators were seized during the operation, they added.
He was later handed over to local police which arrested him, they added.
