Suspended jail officer gets interim bail

The district court here today granted interim bail till November 3 to the suspended superintendent of Thane Central Jail Hiralal Jadhav in a case of trespass.

District Judge V V Bambarde granted interim bail to Jadhav while hearing his plea for pre-arrest bail.

Advocate Rajan Salunke, appearing for Jadhav, said his client was framed up and the FIR in the case was registered after one month.

The judge directed Jadhav to report at Thane Nagar police station every day between 11.00 a.M. And 2.00. P.M.

The court will hear his pre-arrest bail plea further on November 3.

Jadhav is facing a case of obstructing the jail staff from doing their duty, based on a complaint filed by constable Sharad Shaikh.
 

According to the complaint, Jadhav and a group of some 35 to 40 people entered the Central Jail here in six cars after forcing the guards to open the gate on September 27.

Jadhav was suspended earlier following a complaint of molestation by a lady constable.
