Suspension order of a policeman, accused in the murder of a former BSP MLA, has been revoked and he has been given a new posting.

Former Station Officer of Jiyanpur Vijay Singh, who was named in the murder of former BSP MLA Sarvesh Singh alias Seepu and his associate Bharat Rai in July last year after which he was suspended, has been posted as incharge of the survillance cell.

Seepu and Bharat were shot dead by some persons in Jiyanpur village in July last year, which led to violent protest in which three persons were killed in police firing.

An FIR against six persons, including Vijay Singh, was registered in this regard after which Singh was suspended.

On the demand of Seepu's family the matter is being probed by the CBI.

On being asked what made the administration reinstate Singh, SP Anant Deo, "what if he was an accused, its our view. I have made him the incharge...Its my point of view. Whether he is guilty or not its up to the CBI. Singh is not capable to affect the inquiry so I have posted him."

Meanwhile, brother of slain BSP MLA Seepu, Santosh alleged that the manner in which the accused policeman was posted they could not get justice.
