Suzlon get shareholders' nod to raise Rs 900 crore

Suzlon Energy today said its shareholders have approved raising of Rs 900 crore from the market on private placement basis.

The shareholders, as part of the company's annual general meeting, also given its nod to issue securities of up to Rs 2,000 crore, it said in a BSE filing.

The proposal to "offer, issue and allot redeemable non- convertible debentures/ non equity linked instruments in one or more tranches to an extent of Rs 900 crore on private placement basis" was passed with requisite majority, the filing said.

Besides, the company also received shareholders' approval to re-appoint Tulsi R Tanti as Managing Director.
