SVC seeks personal appearance of the then ACD Pulwama

The State Vigilance Commission has summoned the then Assistant Commissioner Development of Pulwama district to appear before it in connection with alleged irregularities committed in selectionprocess ofData Entry Operators on contractual basis.

The SVC has sought personal appearance of the then Assistant Commissioner Development, Pulwama, in connection with alleged irregularities committed in the selection of Data Entry Operators in the Pulwama District, SVC spokesman said.

The SVC has proceeded on a complaint regarding bunglings, favouritism and other corrupt practices allegedly committed during the selectionprocess ofData Entry Operators on contractual basis under the Rajiv Gandhi Panchayat Shashaktikaran Abhiyan, in the year2014-15, by the Selection Committee under the Chairmanship of the then Assistant Commissioner Development, Pulwama (Chairman District Level Selection Committee).
 

Besides, he delegated the authority to a consolidated employee to conduct practical test of candidates in utter violation of prescribed rules and norms, said the report by the Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama.

The report submitted before the Commission prima-facie revealed a series of omissions and commissions in every aspect of the selection process committed by the Selection Committee under the Chairmanship of the then Assistant Commissioner Development, resulting in arbitrary, unfair & non-transparent selection, alibi, misuse of official powers by the concerned public servants, the spokesperson said.

The Commission while taking a serious view of the allegations has directed the then Assistant Commissioner Development, Pulwama to ensure his presence before the Commission on the next date of hearing with his comments, the spokesperson added.
