A biography of Swami Vivekananda, meant for children, was published in Al-Chiki script (Santhali language) in this headquarter town of Birbhum district.
Written by Sanat Hansda, a teacher of Bhasa Bhavana, Visva Bharati, the book was published by a Birbhum based organization, Institute for Development of Educational Activities.
The publication, a part of the 150th birth anniversary celebration of the monk, was supported by the department of cultural affairs, government of West Bengal, the publishers said today.
Copies of the book, which was launched yesterday, would be distributed free of cost among primary school students in Birbhum where Santhal-tribal enrollment is high.
