In the final round against city-based WGM Mary Ann Gomes, Swapnil held his nerve in a sharp tactical end-game to emerge winner with 6.5 points.

Second seed IM Swayams Mishra also scored 6.5 points with a final round win against WGM Padmini Rout, but had to be content with the runner-up title on progressive points.

Former world U-12 champion, Sayantan Das and Prantik Roy both scored 5.5 points each and had equal progressive points, but the former was adjudged third on account of his higher seeding.
