External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj here today interacted with a group of Indian-origin youth from other countries as part of a programme that brings them closer to their ancestral roots.
Know India Programme (KIP) is run by the Ministry of External Affairs.
"EAM @SushmaSwaraj interacted with the participants of 43rd Know India Programme in New Delhi. It is a flagship initiative for Diaspora engagement which familiarizes Indian- origin youth with their Indian roots & contemporary India, through a 3 week orientation programme," MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted.

The programme for diaspora youth is conducted with a view to promote awareness on different facets of life in India and the progress made by the country in various fields, according tor the official website of the KIP.
"It provides a unique forum for students and young professionals of Indian-origin to visit India, to share their views, expectations and experiences and develop closer bonds with the contemporary India," it adds.
