External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and her Congolese counterpart Raymond Tshibanda N'Tungamulongo today held talks on a range of bilateral issues including ways to further deepen ties between India and Congo.
In the meeting, N'Tungamulongo is understood to have raised the issue of killing of Congolese national Masonda Ketada Oliver here in May that had triggered outrage by African envoys.
The two Ministers discussed a host of issues relating to bilateral ties.
"Connecting with Heart of Africa. EAM meets DR Congo FM N'tungamulongo as engagements continue on his India visit," External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted.
