External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today met former Japanese foreign minister and senior leader of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party Fumio Kishida and discussed a broad range of strategic issues.
Swaraj met Kishida, Chairman of the Policy Research Council of the Liberal Democratic Party and former Foreign Minister of Japan, and held a "fruitful discussion, Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted.
India and Japan enjoy a special strategic and global partnership demonstrating growing convergence on a broad range of issues, he said.
"EAM @SushmaSwaraj and Chairman Kishida had a fruitful discussion on a broad range of issues from a strategic perspective," Kumar tweeted.
