Swaraj to make statement on Indo-Pak developments on December 14

The statement would be made in the Rajya Sabha at 11 a.m and in the Lok Sabha at 2 p.m on Monday

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will make a statement in Parliament on December 14 on the recent developments in India-Pakistan relations.

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Pratap Rudy today informed the Lok Sabha that Swaraj is ready and would make a statement on Monday (December 14).

The statement would be made in the Rajya Sabha at 11 a.m and in the Lok Sabha at 2 p.m on Monday, Rudy said.

Saugata Roy (TMC) said it would be late by then to make the statement.

Yesterday, the government had said that Swaraj would make a statement today.

On Wednesday, during the visit of Swaraj to Pakistan, the two countries agreed to start a comprehensive bilateral dialogue. Swaraj had also confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would visit Islamabad next year to attend the SAARC summit.
