External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today took time out of her busy schedule here to visit the 'Great Pyramid' of Giza, one of the seven wonders of the world.

Swaraj, who arrived here yesterday, spent around 10 minutes at the site of the three pyramids.

The largest of the three pyramids at Giza, known as the Great Pyramid, is truly an astonishing work of engineering.

It is believed the Great Pyramid was built as a tomb for Fourth Dynasty Egiptian pharaoh Khufu and was constructed over a 20-year period.

Swaraj earlier met Egypt's President Fattah Al-Sisi, her Egyptian counterpart Sameh Hassan Shoukry and Secretary General of League of Arab States Nabil El Araby.

It is her first visit to Egypt as External Affairs Minister. Tomorrow, Swaraj will leave for Berlin on a two-day visit.
