Swati Maliwal, whose appointment as the Delhi Commission of Women chief has become a bone of contention between AAP Government and Lt Governor, today met the family of 20-year-old Vinay who died in a road accident after which his family donated his eyes as per his wish.
"I went to meet Vinay's family who has set an example for others. While their loss cannot be compensated but their dedication for their son's organ donation pledge is something which others should take a cue from," Maliwal said.
Vinay Jindal, a BBA student and resident of Jhilmil in Vivek Vihar area of East Delhi, died on July 20 when his scooty was hit by a car at Kasturba Nagar traffic intersection.

Maliwal also had a meeting with a few lawyers today.
"I had a series of meetings with a few lawyers today with whom I discussed the cases of the acid attack victims I had met yesterday. I have promised them to reopen their cases and ensure justice," she said.
On Tuesday, Jung had declared Maliwal's appointment null and void, saying it did not have legal sanctity and was in violation of constitutional provisions.
Following the row, Delhi Government had sent the files regarding her appointment to the LG. Jung yesterday refused to sign the file claiming it was not properly processed.
Maliwal, however, is maintaining that she would go to office only when she gets a communication from the government but will continue with her activities.
