Apple pie, waffles, cupcakes, authentic gelatos and ice-creams are among desserts on offer at the NDMC Palate Mini 2015, a food festival that begins here tommorow.
The three-day event spread over the weekend at Nehru Park is a miniature version of the civic body's debut Palate Festival, a grand affair held last November and will showcase food from leading cafes and delis, say organisers.
Festival founders Ruchi Bansal and Aditi Kapoor credit the inception of the mini food festival to the "huge success and encoring demand" for the parent fest.

Albeit the menu at the festival, like the Palate, will hail from around the globe but the focus, the founders say, will be on indulging sweet tooth of the visitors.
"This is also, like the Palate, an all encompassing festival that will invite people to come out in the sun and indulge in a plethora of delicacies. But, desserts will certainly be the main attraction," says Bansal.
Among the many sweet indulgences on offer will be Apple pie, waffles, cupcakes, authentic gelatos and ice-creams.
She says the Mini Palate has been conceived keeping in mind Delhi's pleasant climate during this time of the year.
"While the Palate menu was more suited to the chill of winter, this time it will welcome spring and summer," she says.
15 of Delhi's top restaurants and 30 gourmet market vendors are participating in the festival.
The Leela Palace hotel would be launching its patisserie at the food festival and presenting a wide range of bite-sized chocolate surprises, macaroons, pastries and cakes curated by pastry chef Rishabh Anand and his culinary team.
"The Leela's signature MINI Palate special cake will be available at a price as low as Rs 500 during the festival," Bansal says.
The drinks and beverage menu offer delightful concoctions in wine and beer apart from fresh pressed juices, an array of shakes and smoothies along with organic assorted teas.
Beside delicious cuisines, live music and uncanny installations will also be on offer at the festival.
"Beautiful bird installations and installations with chai glasses make the venue beautiful. Astitva, Rock Veda, Pragnya are some of the bands that will be playing at the festival," says Bansal.
The average cost of food items on the menu range on a average between Rs 100 to Rs 500 and the event will also host cooking classes and workshops as well as a food market.
