The Coaching Centres Association of Kashmir today decided to close down all coaching centres in the Valley due to the "increased risk" of swine flu.
"We have decided to shut all coaching centres till further orders due to the increase risk of H1N1 flu virus," G N Var, chairman, CCA, said in a statement here.
Var criticised the government for "failing" to control the disease and "putting entire population at risk".

The association said the health of students was of paramount importance and they cannot risk it at any cost.
"So our coaching centres will remain closed till the situation becomes clear and after we get a green signal from our medical fraternity," Var said.
There are around 550 coaching centres functioning in the valley where more than 50,000 students are studying, the association said.
