Swine flu claims 3 more lives in Rajasthan

Seven persons found H1N1 positive are under treatment

Three persons, including two women died of swine flu, while seven others were found to be H1N1 positive in a fresh spell of the virus in parts of Rajasthan.

One Vikram (30), succumbed to H1N1 in Baran district on August 31, Parwati Bunkar (58) died in Jaipur on September 4, while Manju (45) died in Bundi district on September 7, a senior officer of state medical and health directorate said today.

Seven persons found H1N1 positive are under treatment, he said.

The district hospitals have been alerted to take all precautions and provide ICU and testing facilities to H1N1 positive patients, the officer said.
 
Since January 1 this year, altogether 438 people have died of swine flu so far in the state, which included 87 deaths in Jaipur, 48 in Ajmer, 33 in Jodhpur, 31 in Nagaur, 23 in Barmer, 22 in Kota, 15 in Udaipur, 14 in Chittorgarh, 13 each in Sikar, Bhilwara and Tonk, 12 in Pali, 11 in Jhunjhunu, 10 deaths in Churu and remaining in other parts of Rajasthan.
