Swine flu claims one more life in Rajasthan

A 28-year-old has succumbed to swine flu taking the death toll from the virus in Kota region to three.

The victim, Pradeep Nagar (28), a resident of Anta town in Baran and employed at Vidutt Vitran Nigam in Kota died of swine flu yesterday, Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) of Baran, Dr Brajesh Goyal said.

The deceased was tested positive for H1N1 virus on February 23 and was undergoing treatment for about two weeks at a private hospital in Kota.

Medical teams were rushed to the locality in Anta village to take preventive measures. Preventive drug doses were also administered to the family members as well as neighbours of the deceased, Goyal said.
 

Meanwhile, Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) of Kota district, R N Yadav said that seven patients tested positive for swine flu in Kota district have been successfully treated.
