Swipe aims to sell 2 lakh tablets in 6 months

Swipe Technologies, a leading mobile communications device maker in the country, today said it has set a sales target of two lakh tablets in six months.

The market share of the company in the last two quarters has grown from 3 per cent to 10 per cent in tablet segment, company founder and CEO Shripal Gandhi told reporters here.

"The company also aims to achieve the sales target of two lakh tablets in next six months," he said.

It had raised USD 5 million in May 2014 from Kalaari Capital, Gandhi said.

Earlier, the company announced the launch of Freedom OS - V 1.1, a set of updates exclusively for the users of Swipe Elite Smartphone's, taking the experience of customisation to the next level.
 

"The Freedom OS is a visually intelligent User Interface that also allows a person to bring out their individuality and style with customizable themes and other exciting features," Gandih said.

The all-new Freedom OS 1.1 comes loaded with 12 exclusive features that clearly differentiate it from the competition, imcluding all new dialer themes, re-arrange dial-pad tabs, low resolution photo filter, customisable context menu items and one-handed mode support among others, he said.
