Swipe machines, e-wallets arranged at 'Horse Market' in Maha

Following the demonetisation of higher value currency notes by the Centre, organisers of a 'Horse Market' in the district have arranged facilities like swipe machines, e-wallets for convenience of consumers.

The annual 'Horse Market' is organised at Sarangkheda and so far 69 horses have been sold today, said the organisers.

Horse sellers from Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Bihar, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh have arrived with their horses.

"Following the demonetisation of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 currency notes, we have arranged swipe machines, e-wallets and plastic coupons for transactions for convenience of the consumers," the organisers said.

They also claimed that local banks have made arrangement of Rs 100 and Rs 50 currency notes for the horse purchasers.
