A 41-year-old Swiss national, who was riding a motorcycle, was mowed down by a speeding private bus in Lutyens' Delhi, police said today.

The accident took place on March 30 when Rochat Janathan was riding a motorcycle on Tughlak Road, they said.

He was rushed to the hospital where he died during treatment two days later, they added.

"The Switzerland Embassy was informed about the accident as well as his death. They informed his family members. On April 5, the autopsy was carried out and the body was handed over to authorised persons of the Embassy," said a senior police officer.

Almost a week after the incident, police are yet to gather any clue about the offending vehicle or the accused.

"We have some CCTV footage but there is no clue about the vehicle's registration number. It has only been found till now that it was a bus that hit his motorcycle," the officer said.

Janathan was in India on a tourist visa, police said.
