Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh today called upon universities of the state to switch to e-transactions in financial matters while giving necessary directions to draw a blueprint for the effective implementation of the initiative.
He was addressing the convocation of Jai Narayan Vyas University here.
Singh said in the wake of the ongoing efforts of the Central government for the realisation of a cashless economy, the universities should also go for cashless transactions in fee deposition, salaries, scholarships and other expenditures.
"Every one associated with a university is an educated and an intellectual person irrespective of his or her duty or responsibility, and amid the present circumstances, it is the duty upon us to adopt digital transactions," Singh said.
