"Switched at Birth" is going to end its run after five seasons, according to the series' creator and executive producer Lizzy Weiss.
She broke the news via Twitter writing, "This season of #SwitchedatBirth will be our final one. We are ending the show after an amazing 103 episodes with pride, love, and gratitude."
The fifth and now final season will debut this summer, but the exact premiere date has not been announced yet, reported Ace Showbiz.

Filming on the final season is still underway and will last until April.
Starring Vanessa Marano and Katie Leclerc as two young girls who were swapped as newborns in a hospital mix-up, the drama has been a steady performer on the network.
However, it may no longer be suitable for the recently rebranded cabler which steps away from family content and targets an older demographic.
