Symantec appoints Sanjay Rohatgi as President of India Sales

Cyber security software provider Symantec today appointed Sanjay Rohatgi as President of Sales for India.

Based in Delhi, Rohatgi will be responsible for leading the firm's business and driving growth across enterprise and consumer business by developing and delivering on business strategy.

He joins Symantec from Cisco where he held the position of Managing Director, Service Provider for India & SAARC, Symantec said in a release.

Prior to Cisco, Rohatgi worked with Nortel Networks in Hong Kong, Telstra and BHP Billiton in Australia and British Telecom in the UK, it added.

"Symantec is going through a transformation and we are very excited to make some very senior level strategic hires to lead and drive growth for the company," Symantec Corporation Senior VP (Asia Pacific and Japan) Bernard Kwok said.
 

India is a high growth market for Symantec and the firm looks forward to Rohtagi's leadership and experience to help it grow faster and more effectively, he added.

California-based Symantec, which owns the popular anti- virus brand Norton, provides security, storage and systems management solutions.
