Syngene Int shares jump nearly 8% as Q3 net jumps

Shares of Biocon's contract research arm Syngene International soared nearly 8 per cent as the company has reported a 31.25 per cent rise in its net profit for the third quarter ended December.

The stock surged 7.89 per cent to end at Rs 396.60 on BSE. During the day, it jumped 12.29 per cent to Rs 412.80.

At NSE, shares of the company climbed 7 per cent to settle at Rs 394.90.

The company added Rs 580 crore to Rs 7,932 crore in market valuation.

Syngene International has reported a 31.25 per cent rise in its net profit to Rs 58.8 crore for the third quarter ended December 31.
 

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 44.8 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Syngene International said in a BSE filing.

Stand-alone total income from operations rose to Rs 280.4 crore for the quarter under consideration as against Rs 227.6 crore for the same period a year ago.
