Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday instructed authorities concerned to expeditiously finish the work related to Palamuru-Ranga Reddy lift irrigation scheme.
Rao, who held a meeting with officials, said the work should be completed and water be supplied by the next monsoon season, a release from his office said Friday.
Recalling that the works of Kaleswaram irrigation project, which was inaugurated in June this year, were fast tracked, Rao said the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy project should also be completed soon, it said.
The Palamuru-Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation Scheme envisages creating irrigation potential in upland areas of Nagarkurnool, Mahabubnagar and other districts for an ayacut (area under irrigation) of about 10 lakh acres, among other benefits.
