West Bengal Governor K N Tripathi today said Rabindranath Tagore had deep involvement in matters of science and philosophy.
He said this while dedicating a permanent centre for 'The Tagore Centre for Natural Science and Philosophy' at Rabindra Tirtha in New Town.
"This was apparent in his conversation with Albert Einstein and his perspective of science," the Governor said expressing happiness that a centre establishing the co-relation of science and Tagore finally came up in the state.

Eminent scientist and Chairman of Tagore Centre Council Bikash Sinha said, science, philosophy and literature formed the core area of Tagore's vision.
"Tagore was the ocean of science," Sinha said.
Additional Chief Secretary and Chairman of WBHIDCO, Debashis Sen said, "The permanent centre at Rabindra Tirtha dealt with science and Tagore. We made Rabindra Tirtha in order to make it a mini Shantiniketan where festivals like Basanta Utsav, Pous Utsav will be performed.
