Take action against suspended Moradabad SSP: UP Governor

The former SSP, Moradabad, was suspended on September 22 for allegedly beating three police followers posted at his residence

Uttar Pradesh Governor B L has asked the state government to take "suitable action" against suspended IPS officer Rajesh Modak, who had allegedly beat up three police followers posted at his residence, official sources said today.

Acting on a complaint by social activist Urvashi Sharma, the Governor had written to the Principal Secretary, Home, on October 4, to take "suitable action" against Modak, the sources said.

The former SSP, Moradabad, was suspended on September 22 for allegedly beating three police followers posted at his residence for keeping a Samajwadi Party leader, who had come to see him, waiting.
