Making a reference to the young Indian cricket team which recently clinched the ICC Champions Trophy in England, Manipal Global Education Chairman T V Mohandas Pai today said Infosys should give responsibility to youngsters to take the company forward, instead of passing the onus on seniors.
"The senior cricketers are not playing for India anymore. They have retired (from One Day Internationals). The young players have taken over the mantle to take the Indian team forward. They are batting, bowling and fielding well.
"Likewise, young Infoscions should be given the responsibility to take brighten the company's prospects," Pai, former Infosys Chief Financial Officer, told reporters on the sidelines of 'Pride of Karnataka' awards ceremony organised by Round Table India here.

Pai said the return of a senior person like him will not make much difference to Infosys, and investing on seniors would frustrate youngsters working in the company.
The seniors do not understand the aspirations and demands of 60 crore youngsters aged below 30 years, Pai said, adding, "Whatever the problems the government and the private sector face, youth should be given power.
