Take stern action against those making the city dirty: DC

District Collector of Kota Ravi Kumar Surpur directed the officials here to take stern action against those spreading garbage and waste in the city and asked them to be sincerely committed to make it 'Clean Kota'.

"Don't have any tolerance at those spreading garbage and waste in the city but take stern legal action them," Kumar said at a meeting held here yesterday to review the clean city campaign.

Those who spread the waste, ask them to improve and clean the same, he said directing the municipal corporation officials to ensure adequate arrangements for cleanliness of the city at every level.
 

He stressed for committed efforts by the officials to make 'Clean Kota'.

Kumar also asked the municipal corporation officials todirectthe inspectors of the area to identify those spreading waste and garbage and punish them accordingly.

The District Collector asked officials to discourage the practice of immersing plaster of Paris or other non eco-friendly material idols into water reservoirs and rivers and instead encourage clay made idol immersion.
