Vehicular traffic on the NH47 Kozhikode-Thrissur road was today affected as a tanker-lorry rolled down into a plantation grove from a 35 feet height after hitting a roadside safety wall near Valancherry in the district, police said.
The lorry was on its way from Kozhikode to Kochi when the mishap occurred around 8.30 am as the driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a sharp curve about five km from Vattappara, police said.
The driver sustained minor injuries, they said.

Traffic on the stretch between Valanchery and Kottakkal was diverted through Kanjipura-Moodal bypass, following the accident.
Traffic on the route will be restored shortly,police added.
